Mitsubishi launches teaser for Paris debut
September 15, 2008 by George Skentzos
Mitsubishi has revealed plans for the world premiere of an unnamed model to be included in its line-up at the Paris Motor Show.
At first glance, the teaser image appears to be another variation on the new model Lancer, boasting the now trademark trapezoidal front grille.
However it is more likely a rather deceptively aggressive teaser of the upcoming Colt replacement which has been confirmed to carry over the new-look front end.
Joining this unnamed model on the Mitsubishi stand will be the new Lancer Sportback – a hatch variation of the current Lancer sedan.
Also making its European premiere will be the new 177kW Lancer Ralliart in both sedan and hatch guise – a model we eagerly anticipate for the Australian market as an entry level performance competitor to the standard Impreza WRX.

i don’t think it’s the new colt, the nose seems too flat for a car from that segment. All cars in the colt segment has a very slanted bonnet line, and although hard to see clearly, i think this bonnet might be a bit too flat.
Could be a mid-life face lift of the Outlander. Spy pics show a somewhat lancer like front. Also the twin clutch system is slated for release in the Outlander as well – not sure when though. Would be a good replacement for the lazy CVT and 6-speed (which is already fantastic in its right).
Definitely the Outlander, new spy pics out today…
Headlight design doesn’t match the Outlander. I’m quite certain its the Colt – check out the spy shots.
Anyone got an ETA on the Ralliart Lancer. I’ve almost saved up enough for one.
definently the colt the outlander would have more expensive headlights
will Australia get the 3 door version of the colt this time?
Concept cX anyone? :)
