2013 Hyundai Santa Fe interior images leaked

The images, first published by KoreanCarBlog, reveal the Santa Fe's upgraded cabin, which embraces the brand's fluidic sculpture design language.

The curvy features of the outgoing model (see gallery tab above) are replaced by sharper lines and more expressive details. The multi-function steering wheel looks athletic and modern, and sits in front of a simplified instrument panel with two large binnacles and a detailed trip computer screen.

The centre stack features two individual screens: a colour unit for audio and media information and a blue-lit panel for climate functions.

The cabin ambiance is lifted by the use of a number of different colours, while quality also appears to have taken a big step forward with fresh materials including a soft-touch dash, leather and brushed metal-look highlights.

The gear lever also looks decidedly classier thanks to a leather-wrapped knob and stitched leather boot.

A leaked brochure image gives a few more insights into the cabin’s functionality, highlighting the multi-directional power front seats, sliding second-row seats and sunblinds for the rear passengers.

Hyundai has released a series of teaser images previewing the new Santa Fe’s updated exterior styling, which also embraces the fluidic sculpture theme with a hexagonal grille, swept headlights and taillights, purposeful stance and a clean profile.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe will go on sale in Australia in the fourth quarter of 2012. Local prices and specifications will be released closer to the car’s launch.
