Lame Audi – lame…
Considering higher starting price than X1, and being a lesser brand than BMW – I am seeing that it has already a trouble there. Equivalently specced X1 will cost less – that’s a big minus for audi. And there is much worse resale value I guess. This car cannot be called SUV as well, much smaller and lower. In all, nothing to be excited. Havign said that, I will pay a visit to Audi dealer before putting money on Mazda CX5. Ppl will start screaming hey not in the sam eleague … but who cares. CX5 Diesel will wipe it to oblivion.
Q3 interior seems low quality and looks low rent. I’ll choose Evoque anyday over any Q3 range.
This afternoon I saw some journos doing a road test on the Princes Highway in Sydney. There was an X1, An Evoque, a Q5 and a Q3. The Q3 looks like a toy, what a joke. What’s the point of these tiny SUVs? Audi is such a try-hard brand.
But the try-hard market is huge…
If I was in this market and wanted a small European SUV, I’d be buying a VW Tiguan and pocketing the savings. The Q3 uses the Tiguan as a base anyway although the diesel is a different spec. Historicaly the Audi range has suffered from high depreciation although I’m not sure if this car will be the same. Only time will tell on that I guess.
Any car that’s a fake won’t have good resale value, even worse if it’s a luxury.
Evoque is still king in its category.
Except that it is as safe as Great Wall Motor Diesel 4WD (based on ANCAP test)
AND lots of vw group issues and problems to follow…..
