Simple solution – drive a Mercedes Benz and you won’t have to worry about as many problems compared to other German and European competitors. MB cars are supremely engineered and the quality of cars along with road manners etc means you can enjoy hassle free driving. Leaves BMW with only the ability to brag about dynamics. Experience a Mercedes Benz today and see why it really is the King compared to its rivals.

Which Mercedes dealer do you work for again?
Just so you know, Mercedes Benz has had 19 official recalls in Australia since the start of 2010, this is BMW’s only one. Even Holden has had less recalls over that period. It is also more than the number of recalls of other the German manufacturers VW, Audi, Porsche and BMW combined as well as more than other Euros like Land Rover, Citroen, Peugeot, Renault etc etc. In fact, they have the most recalls of all the mainstream Euro manufacturers that sell cars in Australia. Supreme engineering alright!
This is all from the recalls government website and more believable than a person who appears to work at a Mercedes dealership and is trying to drum up sales on a comment section on a motoring website.

BTW, having said all of that recalls are not always a bad thing though. At least the company is man enough to stand up and say they mucked up, unless it is a compulsory government mandated recall that is!! 😉

*sorry, after a more thorough check Mercedes have the second most recalls of the Euros after Volvo. I will put my hand up and say I was wrong!

      What A BS
You never own a Mercedes or its from 1970s
BMW is far better car when it comes in long term
Just BAS light on merc will cost you around 4~5k to fix it… old 6.3L amg engine has major cam problem…
If you drive current S class, ML your airbag on suspension may fail anyday…like landrover

Oh blah blah blah.  You bought a Mercedes Benz, you must be so happy with yourself.

All cars may have issues, how they’re dealt with along with the severity of the issue is what’s important.  Here’s a company replacing a minor part before it may become a problem.  What more do you want?

Only someone wanting to justify their own poorly researched purchase or a Mercedes Benz employee would turn this into a ‘BMW is rubbish! MB is awesome!’ argument.

Edit: Is in reply to Gerhard Schrieber’s comment below. Didn’t reply for some reason. :-

Is it bad to prefer Japanese cars over European cars?

    • Anon

      Is it.

The quality/reliabity/durability of these $$mega dollar$$ cars are not better than the main stream cars.

    • Sydlocal

Exactly and in many cases they are even worse. Especially in the long term when all of those electronics start playing up…
