Video: Corvette ZR1 hits the autobahn
September 11, 2008 by George Skentzos
Here’s a video with a little bit of everything – an American car, a German autobahn and the Dutch.
The first Corvette ZR1 in Europe is taken to its limits on the unrestricted German autobahns, pushing way past 300km/h.

I like this car, its the one that beat the lap time of the GTR at TheRing.
God bless BIG BLOCK V8’s!

Say what you will about american cars, this thing is a genuine supercar. Looks great too.
My Christmas list is going to be really expensive. Why did they get Lex Luthor to drive it?
Heh I hope it has a racing fuel tank at those speeds :D
Gorgeous sounding car.
Oh but Frugal – it has no badge cred, but think of all the 16 year old bogan chicks you’d pick up. You could leave the boiled sweets at home.
Not even I can express how much of a tool you are.

PS – How poor does your Porsche loving look now? A Datto AND something with pushrods caning everything that has ever come from Zuffenhausen…
Frugal – it ain’t a big-block, even though the LS9 displaces 6.2 litres it’s still considered a small-block.
Yeh it took big engine with blower and ligter to beat small engine with blower and heavier car it should go much better.
Still a poor quality American, but it goes and sounds good.
It’s funny, if that video was on Australian roads he would be slammed with the same croud as murderers and pedophiles but because it’s legal there, it’s awesome.
