Alas now that its owned by Indian shysters its just a also-ran.

The mail is for the new Iveco Massif, aka Campagnola EASILY better than a Defender rubbish.

Waiting for this website to mention the new Massif by Iveco, oh, and test the Mazda CX7 AS PROMISED! :-)

I’ve always been impressed with how the original 1970 shape has been largely retained where other 4X4s including its sibling disco have arrived and subsequently re-arranged themselves to suit market trends over the years. It goes to show you don’t need to mess too much with something that works.

I think the mistake everyones making about the TATA ownership here is that TATA isnt putting Indian people that we dont know anything about on the assembly lines. Their not using their own components to make these expensive cars. Theres nothing to worry about. Not yet anyway. I like the look of that facelift. Ive had my Range Rover I think since 2003 and its my favourite car ever. I might trade up to this one for a couple of years before the next one comes out. I dont like the current facelift. It looks a little too gangsta. I think it looked best on 2002, 2003 & 2004. And if anyone heres gonna bring anything up about reliablility Ive had mine since 2003 and have done 150,000 miles in it and there have been no problems AT ALL. Same with my discovery 3 and thats done 190,000 miles. You just need to keep them serviced.

I had the pleasure of inspecting Tata’s last offer in Australia when it first landed here. Nearly every car had a factory defect from rust to bad paint and electrical problems, this all left a bad taste in my mouth. I know Tata has the revenue. I am praying they spend it wisely.

A couple of things about Tata. They are very serious players with annual revenues near 4% of the Indian GDP! Tata are in the process of employing over 600 engineers across Jaguar and Land Rover specifically.

Tata is said to be approving engineer wish lists at 100%. Ford was lucky to approve half that if not less.

When Tata buy a company – they keep it. In 200 years of doing business, they have never sold a company.

There are some hugely exciting products currently in development at both companies at the moment.

Tata is very good news for Jaguar and Land Rover. Anyone that thinks otherwise, will get a big surprise.

The most expensive Tata available. Will be interesting to know the price and if the changes are just cosmetic. If the shifting of 300 workers to the Jaguar line is anything to go by I’ll bet less will be sold as more.
