I too have an Aus delivered R32 GTR. Wine red mica, 95k logbook serviced with full history. Have the original steering wheel and stereo in a box. Only aftermarket part is the exhuast which is very subtle. Its a beautiful car that see’s the track once a year.

Dear All,
I own the legend. An Australian Delivered R32 GTR, one of 100 produced specifically for Nissan Australia and used for the Bathurst campaign. 30 of these GTRs were converted into race cars which created the name GODZILLA and won 32 races out of 32 and was then banned from racing due to its power to weight potential. The balance (70) were sold through Nissan dealership for a cool $111,000. ($118,000) for a black one as there were only 25 made in this colour. I have seen half decent examples sell for over $60,000 with slight mods and over 150,000kms. I would expect mine to sell for close to $100,000 as its got just over 100,000kms and is absolutely factory standart as it rolled off the production line. Oh year, it still have the original radio.

Car looks great , as for car mods , people that mod their cars are enthusiasts for mods and they dont care if they will or will not get their money back , they do it because they love it so stop saying shit about them .

Sorry Richo, my wording is a bit suss, to clarify im not voiding your argument, but agree to whats seen as collectable which falls to limited edition model really not just the bathurst ones. And no doubt race cars which acheive something in their lifetime is definately of value in one to many fans’ eyes.

Wholly agree once you start tinkering a market delivered car, its potential to gain in value in the future is pretty much gone.

and as well all know, ANY car that has won bathurst is hugely collectable. I think pretty soon people will wake up and realise that the bathurst winning V8 supercars will be pretty valuable as well! So far people aren’t really paying attention to them and some are even still being risked in race meetings! But some of the smart cookies are locking them away, HRT still ownes craig lowndes’s VR commodore he won both the championship and bathurst in in 1996, although it does currently have pretty major structural damage due to a crash lowndes had at the 1999 gold coast indy (HRT used older commodores at that meeting as bathurst was only 2 weeks later and they didnt want to risk the current machinery). But why would HRT still be holding onto a badly damaged race car sitting in a corner doing nothing unless they knew EXACTLY how much it will be worth whenever they get assed enough to fix it! I bet they still have a whole bunch of original parts for it aswell!

Sorry I didn’t quite understand your post, but i think you where getting at the fact that the Bathurst models where limited editions and therefore voiding my argument that modified cars are not collectable. If so then thats not voiding my argument at all because of course FACTORY limited edition cars are collectable, for many cars that the only thing that makes them collectable! Its aftermarket mods which make them non-collectable. Unless ofcourse its a race car in which case its the cars pedigree that makes it collectable. In the case of the R32 GTR then pretty much any australian delivered one is valuable provided they are unmodified, however if its a group a spec race version, then its massively collectable provided it has a pedigree, ie the fred gibson ones.

Marcos, 1million for a Holden is a joke too!, cars as collectors are worth on their rarity and what it stood for in its era, The GTR was a giant killer in the day and now the new one has withheld that name once again.

Richo, your talking about the bathurst ones? if so being a limited edition and what they represent by what they did in bathurst 90-92??? surely would make this car very wanted and pricey too.

Sorry r32 but $200,000 AUD (est) cost for a NISSAN is a joke, besides it looks like someone has shunted it in the asss…sqaured off the back and front for that matter with a builders trowel….
