Can I have one with the 5.0 litre supercharged V8 out of the XFR?

  • Ben

Sportbrake… I see a station wagon. But, hey why not try to create a new name for it. Others do it too. ;-)

  • marc

sportbrake suggests more of the less power less fun – breaking/stopping sport(iness)… never mind is a station wagon

  • Laurie

Can’t see it being a seller here I mean wagons are normally for company reps by in large and the type of person buying the sedan version are not going to be interested in a wagon !

    • Scottjames_12

Why not? Wagons (estate, touring, whatever) are extremely popular in Europe and whey look as good as this does, I can see why! The added practicality over a sedan is a big plus in my book. Being able to move alot of stuff, or awkwardly shaped stuff, with ease would be great.

      • Peter

You are right, I’ve got the XF, it has a huge boot but a small boot opening so it’s hard to get anything bulky in, I’d love the convenience of a wagon.  If you think that the 2.2 litre will be less than $90K, that’s not much more than reps pay for Prados etc, which the Jag would kill for ride, appearance, and luxury, fuel economy too.

  • Amlohac

Thats a strange looking Ford Mondeo Wagon….

    Wait a MINUTE!

    • http://www.socialinteractions.com.au/ Justin Scott

The XF is based on the DEW98 platform which has nothing to do with EUCD platform under Mondeo…

  • Henry Toussaint

     Looks very Nice!

  • MattSingleton

i don like it. its to plan. the ‘XFR’ sports variant would be better.

    • scottjames_12

Too plain? That’s like saying Scarlett Johansson without clothes and make-up is too plain.

  • Tee Jay

Isn’t it the whole thing with a Jaguar or a Daimler is that you’re meant to sit at the back and have a driver? If you want to drive one, you probably haven’t got it made yet.

    • me

      No.

    • AJS

ROTFL. ^^^^^^ This guy. Entirely correct.

  • Birdlife

The Ford lineage is undeniable – the colour on this one is bleh – and i don’t even particularly care for sports saloons/wagons. But i still want one..:)

  • Luke Brinsmead

    Is this Jaguar’s first wagon?

    • Peter

No, apparently there was an x-type wagon, not that i ever saw one.  Maybe they didnt sell them in Oz

      • http://www.socialinteractions.com.au/ Justin Scott

The x-type wagon was never sold here.

  • Busang

    Nice hearse.

  • Igomi Watabi

I really like the idea of an XF wagon, would love one, but it just lacks the sex appeal of the sedan.
