lol well the yanks complain about not getting the type R. they have to put up with civic Si's and integra type S's which arent as performance orientated as they'd like. grass is always greener on the other side

good car to check out is the honda accord coupe in the USA. gorgeous looking thing

i dont want to rant, but there is nothing conservative about the european civic which we get here in type r form, and as long as honda UK makes the next civic hatch that will also not be conservative. the current euro civic can only be described as a radical departure from any previous civic. the next one from UK will probably do it again

the japanese sedan civic on the other hand, is conservative like most of the honda range in australia. that is because they come from japan

People probably dont know this, but honda UK used to have a problem with hondas being stereotyped as cars for old people because their cars were too boring and reliable. so old people loved them. but with their newest civic they killed that stereotype with figures and widespread opinion to back that up

as for civic coupes, i have a parking fine which described my civic type r as "honda coupe". not sure if that counts ;)

Looking even wilder? I think 'wild' is a bit of a stretch when desribing the look of the current Type R which is little more than a mode of transport for hairdressers.

Rest assured there is between buckleys and zero chance that Honda will ever make anything that looks like that. They have (sadly) become far too conservative.

Stretched lancer snout with the radiator grill under the bumper Mondeo style.

Hondas are good cars on good roads. Not really suited to our broken bitumen though.

hmm, 2.0L NA + electric motor - something like a lexus.. or 'new age supercharger'. Should be interesting as the electric motor will help with the torque. Winder if driven sedately it will give hybrid fuel figures but when driven hard - something more than the 2.0L NA's performance?
