2012 Citroen C3 comes with Zenith winscreen

Citroen Australia is introducing the new 2012 C3, which now comes standard with the Zenith panoramic windscreen. Power increases have also been made to the diesel variant.

The special windscreen recedes past the A-pillars and into the roof area to provide an open-air feel. It's 36 per cent larger than a conventional windscreen, and was previously only available as an option.

The new C3 retains its compact five-door character, and comes with three different engine options; two petrol, and one turbo diesel.

The petrol variants consist of a 1.4-litre producing 54kW and 118Nm, and a 1.6-litre producing 88kW and 160Nm, both of which are carried over from the 2011 model.

The HDi turbo-diesel variant is a 1.6-litre four cylinder, now producing 68kW, over the previous model's 66kW. It's available in five-speed manual transmission form only.

Pricing has been revised slightly for the 2012 model mainly due to there being only one trim level variant across the board; the Seduction. Prices start at $23,990 for the automatic 1.6 petrol, and $24,990 for the manual HDi (all prices exclude on-road costs).
