Can you actually still order one of these? I thought our allocation was all sold out.
I believe they are still available as we got more units for Australia.
Production finished in Dec last year but they still have some stock left over.
This 1M is a great way for BMW to flog off old E81 series cars without resorting to the usual heavy discounting. It’s a great car and isn’t bad value, but essentially it’s just a run out edition that actually costs more!
How can it be a way for BMW to flog off the old E81 series Phil when the E81 is the 3 door Hatch and the 1M is a coupe? Don’t forget Phil that the 1M is more than just grabbing an E82 coupe shell and stuffing the twin turbo engine in it. They may look similar but there are quite a few differences with the body and suspension and not something where BMW used the 1M to get rid of some remaining E82 shells. Sure it is a way of getting the last breath out of the old 1 series, but it is not a method of flogging off some of the remaining “body shells”.
If this would have the interior of the new 1 series it would be Epic! and look much better than both!
That car looks like fun!
I’ll take one, in white with black rims. Sexual.
IMHO I don’t believe the lack of “WOW” of the interior is really a factor and is in a way quite refreshing. BMW has said they wanted to go back to their roots of the E30 M3 with this car, a “basic” driver’s car without excess “bling” that doesn’t pretend to be anything else. I like the fact that this is just driver/gearlever/clutch and a minimum of things to distract you from getting out there and to enjoy stringing some bends together. To me, the 1M is all the better for it and why in many ways is better than the M3, IMHO of course!
The fact that this car is manualy only is the best thing about it. I’d take one of these over an M3 too.
I just want one. I would rather the US price though!
This car is already obsolete – the new 1-series has been out since last year.
stupid people make me trolololol all day
As long as they’re making Tyres for cars and still selling gasoline this car will never be obsolete. The 135i is a awesome car, this thing is something else.
The hatchback has been replaced…the coupe only gets replaced in 2014…
mean looking lil bugga…
