According to an alleged leaked 2012 Geneva motor show program from Audi, the new Audi RS4 Avant will make its debut at the show next month. A high-performance coupe, dubbed the Audi TT RS Plus, is also slated to debut at the international event.
As seen on the document (below), which was reportedly leaked by Audi’s Swiss importer AMAG, the RS4 Avant will feature the same 4.2-litre V8 as seen in the Audi RS5. It produces 331kW of power and 430Nm of torque.
International reports, quoting Audi sources, have indicated that the new RS4 will come in wagon form only due to an increasingly limited market. Meanwhile, speculations suggest that a possible RS5 Sportback four-door coupe could pick up any sales that an RS4 sedan would leave behind.
The RS4 will come equipped with Audi’s S tronic seven-speed automatic transmission as standard – also indicated on the document – feeding power to all four wheels.
As previously rumoured, the Audi TT RS Plus is set to be a lightweight version of the flagship model.
Definite figures are yet to be revealed, however, it’s understood the Plus will shed around 132kg off the normal TT RS’s weight (1450kg).
Power from the howling 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder is likely to climb to around 265kW, from the current 250kW on offer.
To distinguish the variant even further, new alloy wheels and a spoiler kit are set to give the Plus a more aggressive look.
Also revealed in the document are some specifications on the new 2013 Audi A3. The new model will come with a 1.8-litre TFSI with 132kW, and a 2.0 TDI with 103kW. It too, as previously expected, will be unveiled at the Geneva show.
The show starts March 6.
