As much as it looks good, I wouldn’t consider it while the Yeti and Dualis still exist.

  • Jack

Drive’s review was a little more scathing, but none the less this shows that Fiat can roll Chryslers turd in glitter but can’t make it shine.

  • Artega

Well I guess it does have the best ad on TV at the moment…

  • Lawrencetlc

it looks like grand cherokee from the front. making the grand cherokee not so special now…

    • Sumpguard

I walked around it at my dealership and it was parked alongside 3 Grand Cherokees in varying colors. This one doesn’t look that good to me but those grand cherokees still look fantastic.

  • Wheels

I quite like the cherokee like front end, after all the Cherokee is very handsome. However the back am not so sure about..

  • ???

Bying a jeep without a low range gearbox is like going to a Vegetarian BBQ – you’ll still go but you wouldnt dare tell ya mates!!

Fail Jeep – time to man up again, live axles and low range for all your cars! None of this SUV softroader crap!! I dread the day the wrangler go soft – that would be the death of Jeep!!!!!

Think the pricing is still a bit high. the Nissan x-trail offers more things standard at a similar price point and will be interested to see how the new Subaru will compare. I also find it hard to buy a car that is so much cheaper in the states.
I know these cars are American but it shouldn’t cost us that much more then them
    Chevy corvette ZR1 – Approx $250,000 while $112,000USD
    Ford Mustang GT 500 – Approx $165,000 while $49,000USD

and what we are looking at here:
    Jeep Compass Sport 2WD – $19,250USD VS $26,500
    Jeep Compass Sport 4WD – $21,045USD VS $28,500
    Jeep Compass Latitude 4WD – $23,445USD
    Jeep Compass Limited 4WD – $26,045USD VS $34,000

    $450 extra for paint
$2,000 extra for us to have CVT over manual
No manual option in the limited

Jeeps sold 2WDs in America for a long time so its not their first 2WD.

  • Compass Mark1 = lemon

So I was 1 of only 1000 fools. I have owned Jeeps since 2003. Firstly, a Cherokee then traded into a Compass for fuel economy. Gezz I was fooled the Compass was an absoulte lemon, no guts even on small hills from the start. After a few months it then started stalling (at lights & on higways) & Jeep would not stand by its product, we ended up at the CTTT before they agreed to a settlement. I am now back in a 3.7L Cherokee with some grunt that works.

Asian manufactures are better in this smalller soft roader sector.

The Jeep compass is about to be scrapped in 2014…so much for the 2012 upgrade…depreciation plus….

  • Rich

The worst adverts I have ever seen. They actually make me angry when I see their cars.

  • Scott

Be aware of cost of servicing with Jeeps in Australia. Absolute rip off. No cap price servicing on offer and then they sting you $400 for a service that only needed an oil change. $180 labour when most other service centres charge that for the service and parts. I will get rid of my Compass before the next service is due.
