I totally agree. Speed cameras are not used for improving accident prevention. It is FUND RAISING excersize by the government. If it wasn't, they woouldn;t include that in the budget and they would use the money for imrpvoing road conditions.

I was booked at the alleged speed of 70 km in a 60 zone at 7:50 pm at Wonga Park!!! I checked the point the mobile camera was set. It was ona downhill road followed by an uphill!! Is this accident prevention or fund raising?

Moreover, drivers are consider guilty and it is upto US to prove our innocense. How??? If a are notified three weeks after the alleged speeding incident? Furthermore this is totaly contrary to the legal system of this country: You are innocent until the state proves you are guilty.

The definition of "speeding" is that you continue driving at excessive speed over the speed limit for a considerable distance. If for a split of second you are just over the speed limit, you had it. Is this dangerous driving???

I have never come across so much nonsence in my life. Something HAS TO BE DONE.

Democracy is such a simple concept... put up a completely hidden camera, if more than 51% speed past it, that speed limit must be increased!

I applaud any effort to restore democracy.
