Karlo, I’ve just had my VE Calais installed with the JTG liquid injection and it is unreal. Auto Gas Injection in Frankston completed mine and i’m very happy… Very good fuel economy as well….

would be great if there was a place i could get a JTG gas system i looked and no one has heard of it some ones pulling your legs..
if anyone does find one LPG conversion place which does JTG liquid injection it let me know just post a mesage

Now, if garbage could easily be converted to efficient fuel/bio-diesel, that might be the best option of all. That can kill 2 birds with one stone: You take out the trash, and refuel your car at the same time. I read that Aussie researchers are looking into that, hopefully they develop a successful result soon.

great to see gas technology surging ahead; hybrids will be dirty guzzlers in comparison. As for the tanks, a magazine article a year or so ago showed a company developing a flat tank (with inside reinforcing) that could replace the petrol tank – this and JTG would be unbeatable! One question – would JTG start the engine from cold, doing away with a duel system?

supply of LPG is not a problem.
dont worry, there is tonnes there. hell they are even burning it off because we cant use enough of it. further to that, we also sell it off to china for a pittiful couple of cents per litre.

its not as likely that LPG will suffer the immediate price hikes as that of petrol.
LPG prices have no reason to be formulated off of the barrel price of oil in the middle east.

the government has more power to watch LPG prices than they do with oil prices.
LPG will always be cheaper and thats the part you LPG sceptics dont seem to get.

remember the latest report saying in 5yrs petrol will be $8 per litre??

yeah, sure LPG isnt a permanant solution as it still causes pollution, but it is easily the best “NOW” solution until such time a zero emission option comes in (and plugins are not that)

and on plugins, do you not think that once more people have than that we wont be paying a lot more for power? and that wont only affect the cost of running your toyota, but the cost to run your fridge aswell (pardon the pun)

No, LPG is better then Diesel no doubt… but its moving from one resource which is becoming scarce to another resource that will soon become scarce. And mind you it only takes common sense to realise that if all the worlds automotive demand shifted to LPG the prices would rise and with ordinary fuel consumption figures that cars with this tech get (although it could improve with more investment) its not a long term option. When we can already produce vehicles that dont reqire this kind of fuel today, while the hell plan for a car that uses such resources for tomoroz.

I assume you have many case studies where LPG vehicles have “exploded” do you?

i dont think its the petrol fumes frying the brain, but i have heard that electro fields such as what the Prius carries can cause deadly cancers and diseases……..

the only battle LPG faces is public acceptance

you cant tell me if they bothered setting up an SS commodore or XR6T with 5% more power that people wouldnt start accepting it.

the acceptance issue will be lead by ford or holden. once either of them can display a “Hero” car with everything and more to boot, then the public will take it on board

TPis only adopting this stance because all toyotas are not LPG compatible.LOL.

A Toyota Mechanic friend of mine asked the Dealer Principle about LPG FOR TOYOTAS and his reply was that it is only for BBQs.LOL.

Once the technology is developed & the general population accept LPG, it will be the next big thing.
Diesel cars don’t seem to be flavour of the month anymore due to $1.80/litre + prices.

i have read of LPG SS commodores achieving higher power figures than petrol even whilst using the current vapour injection tech. and that was dual fuel too.

there is so much potential with what manufacturers can explore with an LPG vehicle range.

holden is starting to have a serious look???
well about time i say.
ford has been having a “half” serious look for years, but even that can go further.
holden has only offered an aftermarket fitment to keep fleets happy, otherwise they wouldnt have an option on it at all.

Im also surprised that no one has been marketing aftermarket kits that are a full conversion and carry the manufacturers backing.
performance shops can operate in a similar fashion

That sounds great. Im a big advocate for LPG. Ive had 4 Fords with LPG, both aftermarket and factory Tickford. Always loved the cost savings, now an increase in performance is even better. That being said, I did put an XF on straight gas once and it was like a new car. 112rwkw, stock.

well holden has stated that they are having a “serious look” at alternative fuels for australia including LPG, CNG and E85. There is no network in australia as yet for CNG, similar story for E85 so surely a more advanced LPG system for commodores could be the answer? And given that it actually IMPROVES performance in things like XR6T’s and therefore presumably V8’s, perhaps this is an opportunity for holden… Imagine holden add’s running along the lines of “the V8 with even more grunt then before, but cheaper to run then a petrol camry!” Could be a way of getting the enviro-nazi’s to shut up about V8’s for a while…
