Faralli & Mazzanti Mugello: Italian supercar sneak peek

Bespoke Italian coachbuilder Faralli & Mazzanti (F&M) has released a number of shadowy teaser images of its latest supercar creation.

Known as the Mugello, the imposing mid-engined coupe will enter production next month in Pisa. Just five Mugellos will be hand-built per year, with production likely to be capped to just 10.

F&M hasn’t released the vehicle’s technical details just yet, but the signs suggest it should be a seriously quick and powerful road weapon.

The front-end combines Ferrari-inspired aero intakes and a low bonnet. There are side intakes behind the doors and an integrated roof scoop to further assist the flow of air around the body and towards the engine and brakes. The rear gets a simple spoiler, large diffuser and boomerang LED taillights to match the front’s daytime running lights.

F&M has developed two supercars in the past: the Antas V8 GT in 2006 and the Vulca V12 in 2008. The former was a dramatic coupe with a Maserati-sourced 4.7-litre V8, while the later was a similarly retro-styled 2+2 available with three V12 engines – the most powerful a 7.5-litre unit producing 447kW and 800Nm.
