Great, more aids to save the idiot driver from themselves. If you are alert, anticipate properly and know whats around you as all driver should then this sort of thing wouldn’t be needed.

What we need in Australia is a car that refuses to tailgate, always returns to the left lane after overtaking and will not increase speed if being overtaken by another car. Now they would be useful additions to an Aussie car.

Yes in theory that is a good idea, but you have no idea how many different variables there in the real world compared to testing in a controlled environment

Sorry, but the smarter you make the car. The dumber you make the driver. And its not like Volvo drivers have the greatest reputation.
