Now this is a much  better way of going about building a small road-legal race car. Costing only USD$ 55,000.00 (no doubt $200,000 by the time it gets here – if ever), the 2.3-litre, naturally aspirated sports car is bound to turn heads.

The car weight just 970 Kg and has about 150kW of power. Allowing for a 0 – 100 Km/h in just 5.8 seconds.

The engine and transaxle all come from  Mexico and the car is put together by Mastretta, a relatively unknown Mexican company.

    Looks like a lot of fun, and good value too. Considering the amount of regular cars assembled in mexico id say this thing probably isnt a bad package. If only we got it for a sub $60,000 price.

    This Mastretta looks like across between a Lotus Elisse an a Lambhorgini Gallardo. Let us see how it fares in a comparison with cars in its class.
