Hyundai is introducing the 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe facelift. The update includes minor exterior cosmetic revisions, more equipment, and is available in two variants and three trim levels.

The facelifted Santa Fe comes in three trim levels, the SLX, Elite, and Highlander. All three are available with two engine options including the 3.5-litre V6 petrol front-wheel drive, and the 2.2-litre CRDi diesel all-wheel drive.

Visually, the 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe has a restyled front underside and skid plate, as well as a matching silver rear skid plate. Highlights around the fog lights and roof racks are finished in piano black on ‘Elite’ and ‘Highlander’ models, while the Highlander model also comes with leather seats and a set of new 18-inch alloy wheels.

All trim variants, except the SLX manual, come with a button-operated Down-Hill Brake Control (DBC) system to guide the vehicle down steep hills. All variants come with electronic stability control, traction control, six airbags, and rollover sensors. These features help provide ANCAP five-star safety.

Four new exterior colour options are available with the model update as well, including Blue Spirit, Carbon Grey, Superior Red, and Titanium Silver.

Pricing for the 2012 Santa Fe remains the same as the outgoing model. Full prices are as follows (excluding on-roads costs):

SLX (Automatic) – $36,990
Elite (Automatic) – $40,990

Why not offer the elite in a manual , no reason here for me to update to another model

HAHAHA 6years with this out dated design. I guess they need to keep milking it till the new model arrives.

      • Blue Soup

Yeah i agree and still looks as good as a VW Touareg and its just been realised.!!!!!!!!

    The wheels look like kia’s…….

Seems quite pricey. The previous generation model was only $32,990 for the V6 auto and that included 4WD and auto climate control.

    The wheels look like Kluger’s

How about they don’t de-rate the engine ooutput for the manual?

Crappy colour range : basically all dark and shades of gray: all unsafe except boring white.

I have just purchased an Elite 3.5 V6 (petrol) and love it but there is one problem. When I put my foot down the wheels skid…it is only a front wheel drive. I guess this is why?!
