The hugely anticipated Toyota 86, or Toyota GT 86 in other markets, has been revealed just ahead of its 2011 Tokyo Motor Show debut. These are the first official images released of the production version.
As reported on Monday, the Toyota 86 uses a Subaru 2.0-litre boxer engine producing 147kW of power and 205Nm of torque. It’s Toyota’s answer to all traditional sports coupe fans, coming equipped with an enthusiastic rear-wheel drive chassis and limited-slip differential.
CarAdvice is currently attending the Tokyo show, and will have more updates on this and plenty of other cars and concepts in the next few days. Check out the latest gallery in the meantime.
