After switching everything off ,take key from ignition. Disconnect battery, wait couple of mins, Reconnect battery , reprogram key in ignition. Start up, Hey Presto everything working. Saved me about £2-300 garage costs ,you too I hope!!

Just purchased 05 407 est, have driven approx 50 miles. When I switch off ,lock car rad fan still carries on,even after doing a 6 mile round trip ,Cannot heat up in such a short trip!!I leave it and eventually it goes off,(at the mo!) Now my engine diog, light came on, found prob was the air cleaner pipe had come apart, Fixed that now my centre console for rad/cd ,fuel consumption etc, Keeps going off and on. Is this another BIG? Problem,?? Maybe I should have kept my 01 90hp 406 124k still runs like a dream!!Laurie

Why is it that there are more recalls for components on Peugeot cars in Australia than in the UK? For example EGR recall on 407; no such thing in the UK, they just go wrong and the owner pays out of their own pocket.
