Buick LaCrosse GL Concept set for LA Show

Buick has revealed a special Buick LaCrosse GL Concept that will debut at the 2011 Los Angles Auto Show next week. The concept showcases various luxury highlights all centred around style and elegance.

The exterior colour of the Buick LaCrosse GL Concept, Cabernet Red, is influenced by fine red wine, while the front end features lots of chrome, matching the trim around the doors, door handles and sections of the boot lid. There's also 20-inch satin wheels adding to the theme.

Inside, the Buick LaCrosse GL Concept features a two-tone leather interior in Cocoa Brown and Caramel Chocochino. The uniquely contoured seats carry flowing lines up onto a suede roof lining. There are also metal highlights on the dash fascia and door trims, to give a bit of contrast.

The Buick LaCrosse GL is not a revolutionary new concept - it simply showcases what is possible in extending the usual confines placed on exterior and interior design. David Lyon, executive director of design, said in a recent statement,

"The LaCrosse GL concept expresses Buick's distinctly human kind of luxury - one that is as warmly inviting as it is elegant and refined. The design cues that already distinguish the production LaCrosse - such as the premium leather-upholstered seats, ice blue ambient lighting and soft touch surfaces - are amplified in the GL and serve as inspiration for future Buick models."

While Magdalena Kokoszynska, creative designer of the LaCrosse GL, added,

"The brushed-and-tinted chrome trim gives the GL a more subdued appearance than if we had used bright chrome. The overall effect is more in keeping with Buick's quietly confident aesthetic."

The Buick will be on show at next week's 2011 Los Angles Auto Show, commencing November 16.
