2008 Aston Martin DBS Video Review

July 15, 2008 by George Skentzos

A short while ago the CarAdvice team embarked on an epic journey to the centre of Australia to road test two of Aston Martin’s most stunning creations; its hero car – the DBS, along with its baby brother – the V8 Vantage.

Together with the most spectacular natural scenery on offer from the Australian outback, CarAdvice was also handed the keys to our own private runway to really put the DBS through its paces.

Make sure you’ve read our full written review on the 2008 Aston Martin DBS.

    Alex:

The test took place some weeks ago. Also, the Top Gear episodes aired on TV in Australia are of previous seasons, so yes, just a coincidence :)

  3. NIK516 says:

man who cares that was so much better then the top gear episode, we dont need a top gear Australia we need a car advice Australia show.

guys hats of to you this is gold absolutely loved it, you alowed the car for most of the time to speak for itself and placed it in scenery that suited it perfectly.

    thankyou more of that.

maybe a f430 in the deep cain fields of queensland ?

  4. Dlunn64 says:

Wow, They would have to be the greatest sounding cars I have ever heard.
What a wonderful trip that would have been.
    Great coverage by the boys.

  5. Grant says:

  6. jbot says:

Didn’t they say last night on Top Gear that the Vanquish was quicker?

  7. Mike Hunt says:

…..Awsome!! Now who’s buying me one?

  8. Alex says:

I was only joking :) Well for some reason I cant get internet that goes fast enough to load the video over here but I hope you gave it as good a review as Jeremy did.

  9. Crouchy says:

great vid… but i wouldve prefered a few more chances to hear that beast roar!

I would almost buy this car over any.

  10. Casey says:

    Just perfect guys, well done.

  11. Baji says:

Great job guys, the vid was absolute gold. Great camera work as well.

  12. Jared J says:

Sorry guys, I cringed through much of this one. Nice cars, good info, but why on earth would you take them out to the boonies? That must’ve been the first time a DBS had ever crossed a cattle grid.

The music was a little bit cliched too. Juno Reactor is sooooo 2001…
