2009 Bentley Arnage CGI

July 14, 2008 by Alborz Fallah

With the imminent release of the new Continental Flying Spur range, Bentley will shortly turn its attention to the ageing flagship Arnage.

With the current shape having been doing the rounds for several years now, a revitalised Arnage will be due to make appearance.

Our graphic artists have come up with a rendering that obviously echoes the new design philosophy under Dirk van Braeckel, with hints of the Flying Spur along the flanks and the rear.

While the current motor has been in service for several decades now, it is still not clear what powertrain the new Arnage will receive. Rumour is still rife of the big Bentley getting a detuned version of the Bugatti Veyron’s engine. Having driven that car, we can say that it would make a great choice.

If it does get the W16 engine, there is still a question over whether Bugatti’s excellent DSG gearbox, or an iteration of ZF’s supreme automatic would bolt up to it.

Either way, the Arnarge will still be priced way above what we can afford.

More news as it comes to hand.

“Hints of the Flying Spur”?? It IS the damn Flying Spur, just with new headlights!

  2. alphabeta777 says:

I don’t think they should make it look like this. The timeless look of the current Arnage is fine. I also happen to like the Arnage A LOT better than the flying spur.

  3. Golfschwein says:

Bentleys and Rolls Royces are the coolest of the cool.

  4. Dlr1 says:

From the front the rear 3/4 profile looks just like the now discontinued BA/BF Fairlane/LTD.

  5. topdog says:

Thats what i was just saying to myself.Though the belt line looks just like old fords a bit

  6. victory says:

The current arnage is timeless. not this POS. from a side view, it’s as though the front and the back are identical.

  7. victory says:

from the front, the rear door windows etc do look like the fords. actually that picture does this car no good, worst angle of the car. the headlights look like the Chrysler 300C lights. the grille isn’t too far off either. come to think of it, even the rear looks similar.

  8. ab says:

The current Arnage is one of my fave cars – pity I can never afford it! :(

But please dont change it to look like a VW with nostrils!!!

  9. Ben Dover says:

It’s a deadset copy of the 300C lol!

  10. Alex says:

    Gee. I sure hope not.

    You’re very right there Victory.

  12. name (required) says:

wow if u put a 300c n that together the only difference would b the rims n the badges lol

  13. Jake02 says:

that looks alot like the Cognoscetti in GTA IV….

  14. yamum says:

Actually, its much higher than a Flying Spur. and still keeps the Arnage profile. They’ve streamlined the design which looks much better and will present itself nicely alongside the Continental Flying Spur and Continental GT.

However with a Veyron Engine. This car could become a better choice over a LP640 or a F430. when you can fit up to 4 people with a W16 Engine capable of speeds above 400Km/h. however a de-tuned version should still output a whoping top speed. (thus could outrun a Ferrari !)

  15. rich boy says:

Looks like the Bentley flying spur.Wheres the classic look from the old one?

  16. matt the bentley boy says:

I think the bentley arnage is a great car why should bentley want to change this wonderful car to look like all the other(jelly molds) type cars out there the car has great road presents when driveing and great power from its 6.7/5 litre v8 twin turbo engine as a bently club member bentley should keep this style of car for other people to enjoy.
