Lexus GS F Sport unveiled ahead of SEMA show

Lexus has unveiled the all-new Lexus GS F Sport ahead of its official debut at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas this November. The new, sporty GS features a number of detailed styling enhancements over the normal Lexus GS variant.

The first thing you'll notice on the Lexus GS F Sport is the addition of 19-inch sword-spoke alloy wheels, reminiscent of those found on the smaller but more serious Lexus IS F sports sedan. The wheels provide a staggered tread size for enhanced traction at the rear and efficient steering grip.

Complimenting the wheels is a full F Sport bodykit with aggressive new bumper bars and side skirts. The front bumper bar in particular looks quite similar to the styling of the original Lexus LS-Gh concept on show at the 2011 Australian International Motor Show.

Apart from these exterior revisions, the Lexus GS F Sport also gets an uprated brake kit with larger front discs and higher friction pads, thicker sway bars, a variable ratio steering rack, and F Sport adaptive sports suspension.

Under the bonnet is the usual 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 228kW of power, capable of accelerating the large luxury sedan from 0-100km/h in under 6.0 seconds. The Lexus GS F Sport will also come with an optional electronically controlled all-wheel drive system which can provide power to the front wheels if the going gets slippery.

Look out for our coverage on this and plenty of other unveilings on November 1, when the SEMA Show kicks off.
