Mazda BT-50 prices revealed for Australia

Mazda Australia has confirmed the pricing of the all-new Mazda BT-50.

Details released today reveal pricing for the BT-50 Freestyle and Dual Cab models. Mazda Australia will confirm pricing of the BT-50 Single Cab closer to its local showroom debut, coming soon.

The Mazda BT-50 Freestyle and Dual Cab models range from $32,590 to $52,710. This compares closely with the new Ford Ranger Super and Double Cab models, which are priced from $30,240 (XL petrol manual) to $57,390 (Wildtrak).

All Freestyle and Dual Cab models are powered by the 3.2-litre inline five-cylinder turbodiesel shared with the Ranger. The engine produces 147kW of power (at 3000rpm) and 470Nm of torque (1750-2500rpm).

The engine comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, and select models can also be optioned with a six-speed automatic ($2000).

All Mazda BT-50 models are now equipped with cruise control, Bluetooth with audio streaming, air conditioning and power windows and mirrors. The standard safety kit includes Dynamic Stability Control, ABS, EBD and EBA. Freestyle models get four airbags while Dual Cabs get six.

XT models get 16-inch steel wheels, body-coloured bumpers, cloth seats, vinyl floors, steering wheel audio controls, trip computer, Hill Launch Assist, and plenty of other features.

The XTR steps up with 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, dual-zone climate control, leather steering wheel and gear knob, carpet floors, satellite navigation and chrome trim highlights.

The GT tops the range with automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and leather upholstery.
