Toyota Australia seems to care about it's Assembly workers! Using software they like to call an 'Ergo Man' Toyota was able to digitally replicate the entire assembly production process of building the new camry (at the Altona plant in Melbourne) so that the strain on the assembly staff can be ascertained and the risks can be minimized.
You have to wonder how advanced this software is to take into consideration all sorts of factors as well as just simple muscular strain. Nonetheless, it is good to see such technology being put to use in Australia.
Ergo Man is operated using Dassault Systèmes’ DELMIA software in conjunction with the CATIA system used to design and develop the Camry.
