Aston Martin named coolest brand in the UK
What is the coolest car brand? An organisation in the UK called the Coolbrands Council has named Aston Martin, for the fifth time in six years, the coolest brand in the UK in a recent judging stint.
According to the Coolbrands Council, Aston Martin is on top of other brands that have also been perceived as having high levels of coolness, including Apple, Harley Davidson, Rolex and Bang & Olufsen, all ranked as the top five. Ferrari was the only other carmaker in the top ten judging, sitting at number seven.
The brands were ranked in regards to carrying the most cachet with consumers, as well as brands which gave off the most positive resonance with the public based on elements such as style, innovation, authenticity, originality and desirability. Stephen Cheliotis, CEO of The Centre for Brand Analysis and chairman of the CoolBrands Council, recently spoke about Aston Martin, saying,
"Smooth, sexy and sophisticated; British built, high quality and hand finished, let's be honest, young or old, male or female, opinion former or British public, who wouldn't aspire to own what is truly the coolest car on the road?"
