New details have emerged surrounding the recently announced HSV Tourer based on the soon-to-be released Holden Commodore Sportwagon.

At this point it seems there will be two models available in the Touring line-up – the aformentioned R8 Tourer as well as a high-end Senator Estate, each carrying a $1,000 premium over their sedan counterparts.
As expected, both Touring models are likely to be spec’d in line with their respective sedan model grades, featuring the same 317kw LS3 V8 with the choice of either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
One keen-eyed LS1.com.au member has also managed to capture a short video of an R8 Tourer out and about on the streets of Melbourne.
From behind, the Tourer looks quite discreet, with only the HSV badging separating it from its SS-V counterpart – definitely comfort for some anticipating a Maloo-style rear makeover.
The R8 Tourer spotted in the clip also sports wheels identical to those found on the HSV W427 displayed earlier this year at the Melbourne Motor Show.

oh,
and the HSV wagon really needs the GTS tail lights IMO.
the CGI topped it off perfectly when it had them
TOYOTA SUCKS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOYOTA SUCKS!!!!!!!! TOYOTA SUCKS!!!!!!! TOYOTA SSSUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Toyota………………SUCKS!!!!
Hahaha.
1. Watto the difference is 10kw not 2kw.
2. Aurions torque is just as useable, it has 90% at around 2000RPM. As someone calculated very well, displacement helps torque alot, for the engine its good. Add to this torque is pulling power, Aurion is 200kg lighter, it doesnt need as much torque in the first place!!
3. AndrewM fuel argument is drivel, its like saying a V12 is crap because it consumes more fuel but has more power. If the Aurion had that dispalcement PERHAPS it would consume more but it would have 390Nm of torque AND 235kw!!! Going off this 15% rule of course
Look this a big time first, but I’ll have to admit that Ford and Holden are better companies than TOYOTA.
TP, the new falcon has 5kW difference between the Aurion not 10kW! Your’e thinking of the old falcon. The BF!
TP,
no its not,
its showing the whole picture.
if you want to add 15% to power and torque etc, why dont you brag about the adjusted fuel economy?
even if you add your extra for displacement, the torque still falls short.
only in that case its the “power” figure that excells. you know, the figure that simple people think explains the true grunt of a vehicle……….
Where did you get 10kw TP?
FG is 195kw on 91RON and 198kw on 95RON.
I used the 198kw figure because I always use 95RON in cars and dirt bikes and 91RON in the mower, pump, etc. And don’t forget, it’s the last truly Aussie designed, engineered and built engine left. 2010 will mark the end of real Australian angines.
And yes Bret, I’d bet the Tourer would be quite a tower too.
Some great points there Andrew.M, when you factor the increased displacement vs. power, torque, weight, fuel economy, etc.

“Look this a big time first, but I’ll have to admit that Ford and Holden are better companies than TOYOTA.”
It was me that said that. I thought you guys would have said something to the comment. Oh well, i wish Dingo said that anyway.
Duck you little rat bag,
come here and let me ull your ear.
stop being so rebelious
^I meant I wish Dingo really said what i posted in his name.
^Why are you affended Andrew M? Because I used Dingo’s name as a joke to see how you people responded?
I thought you guys would do/say something like……………”Ha Dingo see that wasnt hard!” or “You finally admited Dingo!” Because we all know Dingo would have not said that. It would be good if he said that, that’s all!
Duck, I’m sure Andrew.M was joking too. ;-)
Of course I knew it wasn’t Dingo so I didn’t respond.
Duck, it’s awful when you come on here and have sophisticated little jokes that nobody notices or enjoys. Trust me, I know!
(And I did have a little chuckle, by the way)
Oouch!!! using another persons name. Aaaarrgh!

Don’t worry Golfschwein and Noname, I get all your little jokes and appreciate them.
