Hyundai Genesis Coupe Facelift Spy Photos

By Alborz Fallah |

Although we unfortunately don’t get the current generation Hyundai Genesis Coupe in Australia, as these photos show, the South Korean brand is working on a facelift to keep the Coupe going for another few years.

The Genesis Coupe is powered by either a 2.0-litre turbo producing 156 kW (210 hp) with a top speed of 220km/h or the more powerful GDI powered 248kW 3.8-litre V6, good for a 0-100km/h sprint in about 6 seconds and a top speed of 240km/h.

Hyundai Australia has stated that the next generation Genesis Coupe is more than likely destined for Australia, but we suspect that it will not be here until at least late 2013.

We suspect the next-generation Genesis Coupe will adopt the company’s fluid sculpture design language for a solid family look.

And if its not too much to ask, could they bring in the Sedan with the Coupe when it eventually gets a visa? Pretty please.

Make this look good and price it well, Hyundai, and see if you can build enough to keep up with demand…

They’d need to bring in a n/a 2.0 or 2.4 though to offer something for the p plate brigade.

It could definately be a great gateway car for them.

      They can drive the V6…

        Not with 248kw

Wouldn’t the Veloster fit that bill nicely? I know it’s FWD but hey…

      • Vibe

        Veloster is a 1.6 DI.

The Veloster is RWD not FWD

How many p platers do you think could afford one? Most of them who drive Hyundias seem to in running around in old Excels.

They sold Hyundai Tiburon coupe here, why not Genesis coupe?
