Well, you are all fools!!!!!

Lets get some things staight on both sides of the fence.

1) The toyota TRD Aurion is the biggest wank of a pr exercise i have ever seen. Wake up fools, this car was most likely a Toyota celica drag car purchased as a rolling chassis or turn key package from a team in NHRA sport compact. Whilst not taking away from Tony Wedlocks ability as a drag racer and engineer the development work for these engines was done along time ago by a company in the states called Titan Motorsport who have been running 6.4 sec passes for quite some time now.

2) A team called GAS motorsport in conjunction with Titan motorsport have been running a toyota camry and toyota celica in the 6 second zone for well over 18 moths in Australia now no factory support or TRD pr crap.

3) To all the seemingly v8 super car fans bagging drag racing i say the following, v8′s have very few links to there road going brothers. No drag car in this world really closely represents its factory body thanks to the need of aero dynamics. After all the g force applied to these cars in such a short space of time requires aero dynamics to take precedent over looks.

4) If you think a drag car goes striaght and is such an easy thing to do, go down to a drag strip and watch from behind the startline, i’m sure you’ll find they dont rreally go too straight. If you still thinks its easy to “drive a straight line” get behind the wheel of say a 9 second car and do it yourself. My only advice would be get your life insurance in order and save your self some embarrasment and wear a napey

FACT 1: Toy-clone-a have built a RWD drag car Aurion.

FACT 2: Aurion and it’s TuRD versions are FWD.

FACT 3: Toy-clone-a chose RWD for the drag car.

FACT 4: Toy-clone-a DUMPED FWD for the drag car.

FACT 5: The boffins at TRD just proved to the world that FWD in the Aurion is completely useless and an absolute load of rubbish.

CONCLUSION:

For God’s sake don’t buy one, if the TRD guy’s don’t want FWD why would you?

I agree Phil. Just another blatant marketing exercise.

Nothing more.

Toyota trying to give the Aurion some bullshit motorsport credibility.

I say bullshit as u have already mentioned this dragcar has nothing at all in common with an Aurion apart from the name.

Sounds like it wont be competing against anything either.
