2010 Porsche Cayenne spy photos
These prototypes photographed are not a smaller brother to the current Porsche Cayenne. Having surfed the web in the last few weeks, many media outlets have incorrectly reported that it could be named the Roxster – but it’s actually the first sighting of the icon itself: the new Porsche Cayenne.
The photos are of two different variants, the standard Cayenne (with square exhaust pipes – first one) and the Cayenne S (with two pairs of round exhausts -second one).
The Cayenne was originally released in 2002 and many say it went a long way to improve Porsche’s financial issues. The German powerhouse shares this platform with the Volkswagen Touareg the Audi Q7.
Once again the Cayenne will be the first of the three new SUVs with a release date of about the first half of 2010. Its cheaper brother, the Touareg, isn’t due to make an appearance until late 2010 at the earliest.
Germany’s Automobilwoche magazine reports that Porsche boss Wendelin Wiedeking is using his ever increasing control stake of the VW Group to rush projects that would favour Porsche, even if it disadvantages parent company Volkswagen.
Audi, meanwhile, isn’t expected to replace its relatively new Q7 SUV with a new model until 2013.
The new Cayenne will address fuel efficiency issues with a hybrid and diesel model in the line-up. Yes, hybrid and diesel Porsches are only a few years away.

Oh dear, the previous generation always looked like an oversized dihatsu sirion.
& now they’ve given it a vw beetle bonnet! funny stuff.
Interesting. I’m not too quick to judge spy shots because you never really know what the model will end up looking like.
And I say that with complete optimism…oh man…complete optimism…

Only Porsche can make an SUV look so great!

I’m pretty sure that is a stick on disguise – maybe hiding a mid bonnet vent!!
an expensive money waster and a gas gustler.not worth buying.i think this is a ugly looking car.have seen only two of them in chicago.this is not a popular car in the usa.discontinue this type of suv until it has 25 to 30 hwy mpg.
they are all over on the west coast, dime a dozen here in san diego
Ha – A boxster only gets 25 to 30 mpg. These have sold well in the States generally and it appears like they have finally fixed the looks. Agree V1 were pigs. V1.5 look okay now.
that is not the cayenne, it’s too small.

Okay Mr/Miss Negativity. If you don’t like the car don’t buy it. Why are you even commenting on a page about cars you so clearly despise????
Yeah, I also think this is to small to be a Cayenne. Looks like the Audi Q5
Looks even more ugly than present model.Only SUV craze could born such a strange car, actually not a real Porsche, made in Slovakia at the same production line with VW Touareg and Audi Q7 and carried to Germany for final assembly.
there is already a diesel version on sale.
it still look ugly, i think the current gts looks better but this is only a prototype
I own a 2008 Cayenne, base model with a few options. It is really nice, a great vehicle for the 4 seasons in Indiana. Capable of “wearing many hats”, and does everything great. Drove the Infinitis, BMW’s, and several others. Was not looking for a Porsche, but when I drove one, I understood.
Beauty, as always, is in the eye of the beholder . . .
The new Cayenne model appears sleeker compare to previous porsche cayenne. I like the front style but some porsche parts are same with the previous cayenne. I hope I have that one too..
Where can I post some pictures of “Top Secret” cars that came through our small town in NM. There were 8 identical cars parked on the edge of town. I sometimes take pictures for local paper so stopped to ask what was up. The guys were pretty tight lipped with information and arrogant. When I explained that I thought the cars were cool and wanted pics and info for local paper they went “On Guard” real quick. When they realized I has a camera in my hands and was gonna get the pics anyways all hell broke loose!! As ses and elbows from all men running to get the cars back on highway and GONE ASAP. These cars are EXTREMELY fast and can excellerate VERY quickly without making alot of noise. I am not a car person, so its hard to explain. I think these vehicles may be the ones being shown here but am not sure. All the men who spoke had foreign accents. Would someone please tell me where to post these pictures, take a look at them and tell me what they are?
You should email Car Advice and tell them you have these pics, could be an exclusive for you and CA.
