Aston Martin One-77 Video

By Anthony Crawford |

Aston Martin’s sensationally expensive One-77 supercar has been captured on video blasting around the French Countryside on the twisty roads above the famous Paul Ricard Circuit.

As the model name suggests there will only ever be 77 of these cars built and at a cost of US$1.87 million a piece, there is a good chance that you many never see one in the flesh unless you frequent the South of France or the UAE.

It’s easy to forget about the One-77 with so much attention given to the V12 Zagato recently, but this is the real piece de resistance of Aston Martin Lagonda with its stealth-like profile and to-die-for engine note.

For those who have forgotten the finer details of the One-77, under the bonnet sits a 7.3-litre V12 that develops more than 559 kW (750 HP) and 749 Nm of torque. Power is delivered through a bespoke six-speed gearbox that will see the One-77 accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 335km/h although this data is unsubstantiated.

Have a listen to the engine note and tell us what you think.

    It sounds…. weapons grade!

V12′s always seem to have a much smoother noise about them than big v8′s and v10′s. Is that a good thing? Not sure..

You could frequent Christchurch, New Zealand as there’s one there.

I wanted to hear the engine, not bad jazz!

Maybe it’s just my speakers, but I think I would go a Vantage V8 as the best sound Aston has. Anyone agree?

The One-77 is as scottjames says, ‘weapons-grade’ raw and racy, while the standard 4.7 V8 Vantage plays a deeper tune.
      They’re all good.

Why do they always spoil these clips with music?
