PoinsonEagle - yes it does have IRS, its build off an entirely new platform so it won&#039;t share very much at all with the current model.

Style wise, it appears to be a curvier version of the current one, which itself was a curvier version of the model before! Opel must be following a similar path here to VW with the golf. The only thing i hope with the new one is that they finally have the reliability drama&#039;s sorted out! I know those problems have prevented plenty of owners upgrading to the newer version (myself included, i had an &#039;02 version which i replaced with a lancer due to the poor reliability of the astra)</description>
