"its 412kW 5.2-litre V10 engine using a comparatively low 14-litres per 100kms on the European combined cycle - slightly less than a V8 Falcon or Commodore"

Well I guess you could argue its already a fuel efficient car then :)

I've always loved Lambos, Lets hope they never disappear!!!

Winkelmann nails it in one.

It wouldn't matter if it did 35 litres per 100 kms!

Let's rejoice and dance in the streets that cars like this (and Veyron, Carrera GT, SLR McLaren, V12 Vantage, Ford GT, Zonda, CCR, and even the local FPV, just to name a few) are still made. Then we should all join hands and pray that Ferrari don't ditch their V12!

I love the smell of high octane race fuel in the morning!

Now I've got to get back to making money so I can own one before the oil runs out...

If you can afford car like that, why worry about the cost of fuel.

Thats it tell those Brussels bureaucrats to wind their necks in a bit. However being partly owned by VW/Audi i'm sure they'll try to offset their emmissions against the owners smaller vehicles.

"Winkelmann explains that it sells very few cars compared to most other manufacturers and that its customers drive less than 8,000km each year meaning improving efficiency is a relatively low priority."

I love this guy's logic.

Not bad fuel economy for a supercar. Naturally they're not going to make them more economical, petrol costs to someone who buys one of these ain't gonna matter. Bugger, wish I was rich...
