Mazda city car concept official sketches

Mazda is expected to go even smaller, unveiling a city car concept rumoured to take up the Mazda1 namesake.
The production model is expected to be the first to debut Mazda’s new-generation Nagare design philosophy showcased in concepts such as the Nagare and Furai.
It is expected to compete with cars such as the Toyota iQ and Volkswagen Up! – neither of which are currently sold in Australia.
The production model is likely to feature perspex panels to keep weight and costs down, as well as sliding doors.
Peter Birthwhistle, chief designer at Mazda’s European Research and Development Centre, said: “The finished article will be even more radical than the car seen here. It will be aimed at young people and feature the likes of iPod connectivity, sat-nav and Blue- tooth. It will be environmentally friendly, and weigh as little as possible.”
Mazda is also set to unveil a new SUV based on the Ford Kuga as well as the highly anticipated replacement for the RX-7 following the Nagare design theme.

at least it doesnt look like the carboard box it is shipped in but with wheels tacked on
