Subaru has released an official teaser of its new production seven-seat Exiga model.

Subaru Exiga official teaser

A segue between the Liberty and Tribeca, the Exiga combines elements of a crossover SUV and luxury estate with trademark Subaru AWD agility and performance.

The production model is likely to feature a turbocharged 2.0-litre boxer engine as per the concept on which it is based.

Subaru Australia is yet to confirm whether this model will make it to our shores.

Is this a Honda Odyssey sort of thing? Low-slung people mover?

  • JP

not sure if its a people mover or an suv. another crosover suv wouldnt really make that much sence in the subaru line up unless this is a tribeca replacement

At least it has a better front end then silly Odyessy!

  • No Name

Yep – looks good, but needs that lovely diesel boxer. Different pictures on other websites try zercustom

Seen this before, i think it was on WebWombat.

Its sorta of a longer roomy liberty wagon really with 7 seats!

  • Mitch

lotus called, it wants its name plate back.

Air intakes on the bonnet of a people mover are one of the sadest things in the car industry.

Didn’t Mercedes try this experiment (station wagon meets SUV) with the R-class? And with poor results? These are the sort of designs you get when you put design studios in the US. Subaru, Toyota, Mercedes, Nissan ect lose their own identity and churn out rubbish designs that are built to sell in one market… North America. What next subaru? a great big V8 powered pick up, complete with gun rack?

Looks like a liberty wagon, a little longer with third row seats.. If its priced cheaper than tribeca could be a good seller for subaru..

When is it due for release? When are Honda replacing current Odyssey? Need a 7 seater tha addresses shortcomings of current Odyssey.

Anything that seats more than 4 (comfortably) that isn’t over 12″ off the ground is a minivan.
