I know we have gone a bit OT but the (optional) HK in the Benz sounds pretty good too. There is a subwoofer in the cargo bay of the C Class estate nicely intergrated...

Back to the Volvo... I had a good listen to the "standard" XC70 with a CD of mine that taxes stereos and was impressed. I wasn't expecting the Dynaudio to be THAT much better but it was... $930 well spent. I upgraded the stereo in a new BMW I ordered once ($1500+) and while the specs looked good on paper, it raised the sound from a 3 to a 5 out of 10. IMHO the Std Volvo stereo is a 7 and the Dynaudio a 9 - and a 10 if you add the extra subwoofers ($1300)...

Just a white LE (sunroof/electric tailgate/18's etc) D5 with black trim. Got a bit carried away with a few "essential" options like vented seats, PCC/Keyless entry, laminated glass, factory bluetooth, Dynaudio stereo. Oh well, it is only money and one has to be comfortable...

hahaha...believe it or not antispam word Volvo.

Thank you boggy......

Volvo are under rated when it comes their cars still.Their wagons I am especially fond of,Im betting the interior finish is better in the XC70 Stig.....Im looking at one towards the end of the year as the new everyday driver, had a V70 2.5T before but want AWD cause FWD annoys me! Still a bargain for what they are and what you get Stig Im sure you will agree . The SIPS is an added bonus along with the children's booster seat in the rear .....great ideas! Would love to know what you think of it after a few months driving it Stig! What colour?

O, I think the door pulls are the recessed area behind the arm-rests, just visible in the photos.

BM,

My (special order) XC70 has arrived (after 4 months) so I will soon be able to confirm if they are as good as they look !

I was seriously considering a C220CDI Estate but needed the ground clearance and AWD ability...

mmmmmmmmm,C63 Estates carrying a tag of $63,100 and $141,300 respectively.another reason I think the XC70 is better value in many ways. Both good looking wagons though!

Had a look at a estate the other day. Cool little popout hooks in the load area. The combo pullout load cover/retaining net is a cool bit of engineering. The squared off rear door tops give you a bit more room to get in than a sedan. The back doors seem very LONG in real life.

Nice little wagon indeed. Get a 220CDI and get some great economy. I wish people would buy these instead of tanklike 4WD's...
