Whoops Coupe4 was it Wheelnut? I had Coupe8 in my head *shrug*

From what I’ve heard the Avalanche was a good bit of kit as is the F6X. Some off-road capability without compromising too much on sharp handling and stonking engines. Hard on juice though.

As well as the Monaro based Coupe 4.. HSV also released an AWD wagon known as the Avalanche and an AWD Crewman known as the XU-V.. neither of which were particularly popular among HSV fans.. Nor is the FPV Territory for that matter.

If you want an AWD Performance Sports Car you should be looking at either Audi or Porsche

These are big, heavy, safe 4-door family cum sports cars.

HSV tried AWD with the Coupe8. Good package but too heavy.

How about the beaut examples of XY Phase III GTHO’s and Monaro GTS’ that have survived nearly 4 decades? Piles of rusty garbage?

Someone willing to fork over $70k-odd for an F6 or Clubby will take care of it.

acctually they got a best of 6.3 in the fpv gt with the 302 boss the new xr8 is quicker than the last gt and the auto was short shifting and the gt need to be ran in to got it’s best they should be good for a 5.8 at the least and the new fpv gt should go a hell of alot better than the current but it might only just match the xr6t.

how do you know the new hsv v8’s are quicker than the new fpv v8’s they could only achieve a 5.6 out of them .4 seconds for (over 10 k more spend 3 to 5 k on mods on the xr8 and it will demolish the gts.)quicker than the xr8 so thats nothing to be proud of duck

Thats typical of FPV Andrew ditch the popular colours,Phantom and Citric Acid also went with Blood Orange.

Andrew you read the latest Wheels? If FPV cant give GT owners better than the XR6T {0-100 in 5.2} times they should hang their heads in shame.

Mind you it seems the XR8 that has the same engine as the last GT has got slower from Wheels ? I thought the previous GT did a 0-100 in 5.5 sec ,Wheels reporting the new XR8 does it in 6.0 !

there not v6 turbos there inline 6 turbo the v6 will be the death of the falcon turbo evry one nos the v6 is max rated to 224kw in power but fords so dumb to do this looks like there will be a masive upset in ford fans if ford gose to the v6 sad day in history

oh n by the way the current ba xr6t kills the hsv so yea

Duck.the standard FG XR6 Turbo is faster than any HSV or FPV…..fact. So the FG F6 will leave them all for dead again……….and we dont know how fast the GT is yet. I wouldnt even consider a V8 in either Ford or Holden when you can get better performance and economy in the sweet six, wont HSV owners be pissed off when they get burned off by a FG XR6 Turbo !!!!

The F6 will become like the HO’s. The Ho’s were made for 3 generations (XT, XW, XY) and the Phase 4 was stopped by the government. The F6 is in the BA, BF, FG and wont be around after 2010 when the American V6 comes in. Buy them while you can cause they will become a future classic (in 30-40 years).
