I own a 2006 BFII Fairmont Ghia, 5.4L, much better car than any current FG. This new Ford wagon looks very ugly in the rear, Holden looks much better, besides me bein a Ford girl, i still like Holdens rear end on its wagon models and Fords BA-BF Falcons, better cars than current ugly crappy FG.

I really like that wagon. The two things I don’t like are the tail lights and the exhaust tip. I believe that the tailpipe on the Ford Falcon is ageing and Ford should probably go for the quad exhaust like on the Holden V8s.

I hopw this is CGI, it looks rubbish. I hope the rumours of there being no new wagon are false, long live the big aussie family wagon.

And if they do bring one out, lets hope it nt a “sports wagon” look alike. If so, ill be keeping my BF for a long time….

I guess the BF looks a little dated, but it is cheaper, bigger, more powerfull and more reliable that the commy wagon. I bought one and love it for its total practicallity and top steering. Forg got it right, so why increase the cost just for styling sake.

The reason i dont like it is because whilst i was visiting The united kingdom of england land,Loyd and gary claimed on a british auto show claimed that people who commented on these site had nothing better to do. In My humble opinion this IS THE BEST car site online

I reckon its a good pic, I have 3 cars now and if ford brought out a sleek wagon like this i might go for it, the last wagon i had was an XA back when i was 18. Oh and I still. dont like Loyd Port-Lewis or gary samuel of the west australian.

ford already know that 95% of their wagons or something like that go straight to fleet.

the other 5% are the minority, and sorry to say it, ford aint going to revise their wagon for that pittiful amount of private sales.
but i suppose it could be a “catch 22″. design a stunning looking wagon and perhaps the private sector may flock to it.
but then im sure they have summed up how many people shop in the wagon segment and decided that there wasnt enough shoppers to justify having a stab at it aswell.

holden may be happy for ford to stay out of the private wagon sales, but im sure ford are even happier that holden pulled its “1 Tonner” line up

Mark, there will not be a sporty Falcon wagon in the near future, if at all. Ford has chosen to service the tradies by making mechanical updates and some minor styling updates to the current BFII wagon and calling it a BF MKIII.

The Territory is still doing quite well considering its age, but needs a major facelift. It’ll receive the development money to compete in the “SUV” (I still hate that acronym) bracket, while Holden has chosen the Sportswagon route after the failure of the Adventura.

If you want a hot sporty wagon go Commodore Sportswagon, for a tough hauler, get the BFIII wagon. Performance SUV/wagon you have the choice of FPV F6X Territory (Typhoon engine) or HSV Tourer (Clubsport Sportswagon).

But, unfortunately, you will not see an XR wagon from Ford anytime soon.

we are a bf wagon owners which had to change it to a xr6 wagon soon to be xr8 wagon as ford does not to them. It good to hear that ford are listerning to their customers that they would like a sporty wagon. we have been told by ford dealershipers have adviced us to go to holdern if we wont a sporty wagon. But that is no good as it doeant came out untill August. We have been told by ford dealerships that if we put a v8 in the wagon they will not service the vehicle. we are going to killing a gt to put all the gear into put in the wagon.
