I can only deal with the facts after having owned many cars Holdens and Fords and some classy euro stuff, the funniest thing that ever happened to me was driving into a V8 supercar meeting in my brand new GTS and having the Ford fans yelling abuse at my boys and I, my 8 year old son yelled back “we have GTP in our garage at home you idiots”

I just love having enough money to have what ever toys I want….I am considering buying the W427 cause I can afford to, or I may import a Shelby 500 which I drove the other day, for what it’s worth it didn’t handle as well as my GTS…and most people in the business say I know what I’m talking about, but I sure like the look of the Mustang so who knows what I’ll do……….

But out of the two, Ford ARE better. They’re classier, smarter, better looking, and don’t end up in the hands of a Bundy rum drinking, flanno wearing, mullet-sporting gimp a year after you pay 168K for it! The depreciation is ridiculous.

My god…does anyone realise the kinds of cars you could get for that much money? For example, the 2008 M3. A German luxury/sports powerhouse. The 2008 Maserati Gransport, a little more than 168K, but it’s a bloody Maserati!

Holden only make cars for taxis. They only have to last 2 years, they’re disposable. Maybe the new ones are different, but it’s unlikely.

Be serious and get real … the W427 is a performance car priced directly against prestiage performance arms such as Audi, BMW, MB and Lexus and as i have already mentioned – the W427 with have to competed directly across all facets of engineering to even remotely justify itself and fact is – it is gonna fall flat on it’s face and for HSV to be so ridiculously stupid will deserve every harsh critism that comes it’s way.

NO, the W427 will NOT go head to head against the IS-F. Totally different target audience, totally different cars.

Just because a Mack Truck is worth $160,000, does it mean it’s directly competing against the IS-F?

The W427 is marketed as a limited number performance car, nothing else. Is it really that hard to figure out?

Oh, and maybe you can all tell us all WHY pushrods are so ‘bad’?

However – for that price i could secure myself a 311kw/500nm 5.0 V8 / 8 speed paddle shift Lexus IS-F not to mention the impeccable quality, refinement and engineering that Lexus is respected and renouned for.

The W427 will go head to head with the likes of the IS-F and all the other impeccable performance machines from BMW, Mercedes Benz and Audi and will have to compare across all facets of engineering while not being able to claim ‘bang for your buck’ because that has gone out the window.

Infact – i believe not even the IS-F will be this expensive.

Lets face it … Holden are being a bunch of friggen morons for asking so much for pushrod driven tarted up Commodore and at the end of the day – that’s all it is !!
