Under this elaborate camouflage is actually the new third generation Renault Megane slated for launch in 2009.

This versatile little hatch will eventually be offered in both a 3- and 5-door guise as well as sedan, coupe, convertible, station wagon and possibly crossover variants.

The new generation of Megane will continue the bitter rivalry between the Peugeot 308, Fiat Bravo and VW Golf VI in Europe having lost the most controversial features of the current car.

We have previously seen glimpses of the new Megane in spy shots which appeared in a French magazine including the highly anticipated Megane hot hatch.

well im sure its not possible for them to make a car as ugly as the last (my perception im sure some find it “beautiful”) and will be overpriced and sell just as poorly as the last and for all renaults at that.

Why is there so little love for the Megane? The RenaultSport Megane is seriously underrated. Ok, rear styling drove lots of ppl away, but given that this new replacement is set to be a whole lot prettier than the current model, I don\’t see why this wouldn\’t be the car to knock the VW Golf Gti off its pedestal as affordable Euro hot-hatch of choice.
