2011 Ford Focus pricing revealed for Australia

The pricing for the all-new 2011 Ford Focus has been revealed at the 2011 Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne.

Showgoers have been treated to their first look at the new Focus in Australia, one month before it goes on sale at the beginning of August.

The pricing for the new model reveals that the Focus will maintain its entry-level price of $21,990.

The six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission comes with a $2300 price premium over the five-speed manual. The automatic option in the previous model only cost $2000 more than the manual, although that was an inferior four-speed automatic unit, and the additional $300 represents tremendous value in comparison.

Prices for the mid-spec Trend (which replaces the LX) and the Sport (replacing the Zetec) are around $1000 more than the previous model.

The range-topping Titanium, which is a new variant in the Focus line-up, boosts the price of the new range significantly. In the previous range, the most expensive model – the TDCi auto – cost $29,790, whereas in the new range the high-end Titanium TDCi auto will top out at a much more premium $36,090.
