I own a 2008 FG XR6 with out a Turbo, it is Sea Breeze coloured, the light configuration i have to say is totally Different to a BF series XR because in the FG it looks more agressive on the open road at night then the BF because of the inwards light being the main and the outward being the High Beam. This in addition to the fog lamps being turned on (illegal unless in permitted conditions ie fog rain or bad road conditions) creates this triangle which some car companies are trying to recreate, making the front end of the car look more aggressive, as in get out of my way you Berlina Driver going 80 in a 110 zone.

with its 81 litre Tank and 1200 km's distance, this car will out last and out perform any car that Holden will bring out this year, SIDI direct injection 900km's to the tank? i can get 1200 on a single tank allowing me to travel virtually non stop from Victoria to Queensland in a day. plus with all the added features and creature comforts, it feels like this vehicle floats across the ground, where as holdens, you get that pain in your lower back from driving to long.

if you put an FG XR6/XR8 next to an SS, Malloo or similar, the whole LED Light thing of the Audi, has gotta stop, that is saying I use my Ute as a penis Extension, the FG says i'm clean and I'm worked for the right purposes.

That is my take on it and yes i am able to work an XR6 into doing 1200 km's per tank by not thrashing it and not over taking unless needed, that is setting a pace of 110km/h.

Thank you ive had my say...

Of course the BF xr6 has nothing on the fg xr8, its a new 8 cylinder numnuts.

Test drove both the ford and holden, cant get an 8 as im on my p's. Holden has it as far as the looks department goes, the ford feels like it drives faster, but the holden is cheaper and easyier to mod.

I went with the holden, and no regrets.

Gimme a sv6 anyday.

FG looks heaps better than the VE, the interior is so much more modern, 290kw instead of 270 but agree quad pipes would look so much better. had a BF XR6 its got nothing on the FG XR8.

I do agree that it does look a little similar to the BA series but i reckon it still looks awesome. It rocks it over the holdens in looks and there is another thing that makes it better, THERE IS NO LION BADGE ON IT THAT NEEDS TO BE TAMED.

It's very silly looking single tail pipe. I"m very very much a ford man but but i love the symmetry on the VE utes. the back end looks a lots better even the base VE manual has dual pipe. FORD NEED TO DO DUAL AND QUAD exughst pipes. Also moving the number plate onto the tail gate would be a nice change to. FG sedan=winner! as for ute not too sure.

Its just not like you to not go back and tell people something and not to see if they have responded. Thats all. Because you do most of the time, go back and check.
