2012 Hyundai Elantra Australian launch video

The all-new 2012 Hyundai Elantra has been launched in Australia with its sights set on shaking up the small sedan market.

The Hyundai Elantra will make its first public appearance at the 2011 Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne on Friday. For those of you who can’t make it to the Exhibition Centre, this promotional video gives you a pretty good feel for the redesigned model inside and out.

The new Elantra is at the large end of the small sedan market, following the lead of its competitors like the Honda Civic, Holden Cruze and Mazda3.

The all-new Elantra is 4530mm long, 1775mm wide, 1435mm tall, making it 50mm longer, 20mm wider and 35mm lower than the Mazda3 sedan. The boot has a cargo carrying capacity of 402 litres, which is 28 litres shy of the Mazda3.

Three different models will be offered – Active, Elite and Premium – with prices ranging from $20,590 to $28,990 (before dealer delivery and on-road costs).
