I have been installing car phone kits since they have been available. I do work for several ford dealerships and have been seeking a wiring diagram for the new falcon so that I can determine the pickup point for the power,mute and audio input to the sterio as in the BA and BF falcons. Is there such a pickup point or do you have to use the bluetooth unit that comes with the car? Would love a reply as to the possibility of being able to integrate and after market car kit with the new model.

For anybody that wants to know the “American” V6 replacing the Ford I6 will be from a 2009 Lincoln MKS sedan 3.7litre a upgraded version of the 08 Lincoln MKZ sedan 3.5litre engine which had 196kW and 338Nm.

Though the engine for the V6 falcon from 2010 (the Lincoln MKS 3.7litre engine) has outputs of:

Power: 201kW @ 6250rpm
Torque: 359kW @ 4250rpm
Redline: 6750rpm

How in bloody hell does Holdenwoo VE “go better” when they have had 4 recalls, battery issues, numerous electrical problem’s, many warranty claim’s just to name a few, Ford are not perfect, but overall they have better car’s and win more awards, since the BA holden are still playing catch up, why, VE won the biased award from Wheels magazine (so bloody what) but unfortunately also missed out on the important award like Austrlia’s best car accolade, sorry Holden, Ford trumps again with FG, outclassing any close rival…

Prefer the VE look. Looks much more agressive. However, I did see the new Falcon sedan in the flesh and I must admit it is one very nice looking car, should give the VE a run in the sales department. And I’m Holden blood….

The boys did an awesome job i cant wait to hand over my 46k,i own a ba xr8 and cant wait to upgrade.Duck dont kid yourself the fg kills the ve even with a 6.0 or 7.0.Hardly different get your eyes checked another holden lover i see.Whos winning races ford team 888,not the ugly ve thats for sure,I agree with the G series.As for the luxury side of things looks like g6e turbo vs grange we would love to see that.Craig Lowndes 888.

One of the major pluses of the FG ute is it can either be used as a “work horse” or you can dress it up as a defacto 2 door sports car. The VE ute with its flared guards is limited to show poney status. It doesn’t have the carry capacity of the FG or the pulling power unless you go for a V8. I think the FG is more versitile.
I recently saw a new FG F6E in Melbourne, and believe me it does stand out. The FG Falcon has suttle lines in the body work which exsentuate the class of the car.

The base model ute looks a good work horse! I think the XR series utes look all right, but it’s the sedans that do it for me.
