Anyone got a solution on how to carry a sea kayak on top of the unlimited. Looking at buying a jeep unlimited but still want to be able to carry my kayak, so need a solution.

I really like the look of the 4 door Unlimited as a lot of people have said previously. What I would like to know is, what do you do with the hardtop when you’re a long way from home and you want to go for a drive along a beach or whatever with the “top down”?? I know there are different panels of the hard-top that can be removed if required, but if you want the lot off, where do you store it?? or isn’t it possible.

You probably dont want to hear from a Yankee, but I am only half Yankee, so there. To Glenn: Wind noise has been settled down quite a bit, especially on the hard top. The 4-door has incredible on/off-road manners. The two door has some improvement. I own the four-door (three kids).

Mines white, looks great, heads turn, kids love it, wife loves it, you’ll love it and i’m in love with it. We havent been able to wipe the smile off yet. Jeep Gold Coast gave us a great deal. Get in while you can we heard it could be the next USA Army Vehicle. One of a kind for sure. Its a jeep thing you would’nt understand……..

I took a good look at one of these last week. I was truly impressed. Let the detractors say what they will, the day I bow to peer pressure (especially wankers) is the day I say governments aren’t crooked!!!
The price was listed as 41K. I am sick and tired of wondering if my Hyundai Terror-Can’t is in 4 wheel drive mode or not due to the auto transmission. I have been horribly stuck in this piece of shyte.
I have found my next vehicle, and thats for sure. The 3 boys fit in the back and there is room for luggage. Best of all, this baby GOES ANYWHERE !!!

To Chris: there are roof racks about for the Wrangler, though the four versions apparently aren’t here yet (but are available overseas). Google ‘jeep wrangler roof racks’. I test drove the new 4dr Wrangler and I LOVE it (I just have to get approval from the Minister for War & Finance). Almost back to the roots of real off-roaders. Cheers.

The 4 door is amazing, looks like a stretched hummer. Its the ultimate 4×4 for those who want to be more practial. I’m a windsurfer so to have a softtop that is amazing offroad and have enough room for all my kit is a bonus. I’ve already ordered my 2.8L Diesel Turbo in black!
