This is actually a really great weekend, and usually a very packed one. I’ve been a few times now and will prob head up again this year. Lots of characters, both four wheeled and two legged!

Most Japanese manufacturers were relative late comers to motor racing, at least here in post-war imperialist Australia :)

But seriously, if you’ve got a spark of interest and can make it up NM, it’s a fascinating weekend. I was glued trackside ALL weekend last year (been going for 14 years now).

So much history. You cant buy history and you cant buy success.

It was great googling this era of our bygone past, where noise and fumes took on more importance then P&L (profit and loss) of a car company. Can someone tell me why Toyota not overly represented in this era as appears to be AWOL!
