Walkinshaw Performance open day

April 29, 2008 by Matt Brogan

Holden fans will delight in the news that Walkinshaw Performance Parts will host an open day at their state-of-the-art Victorian facility this Thursday, May 1.

The official opening of the Autotechnique facility will also allow for a meet and greet with V8 Supercars champion Garth Tander, Development Series 2007 champ Tony D’Alberto and Carrera Cup winner David Reynolds (who you may remember from our Elfin drive at Sandown).

Dyno tuning demonstrations and tours will also take place with the doors being thrown open from 5.30pm.

Walkinshaw Performance Parts is located at 1634 Ferntree Gully Rd, Knoxfield Vic.

That’s just down the road from home.

Might go and have a peek.

I reckon it’ll be worth the look, always nice to see someone with a better garage than mine :)

is this the show where 5 seperate people show up and falsely claim owner ship in order to satisfy the officials, when tom walkinshaw really owns the lot?

i can just see skaify in the corner saying “no i swear i really do own this shiny red one here”

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
dont fire up holden boys, i was just having light hearted dig.
i actually think holden/HSV would gain more respect and greater prestige if they threw a few more walkinshaw models the line up every now and then as special editions.

but i suppose they would have to do it in a smart manner as to not ruin the walkinshaw respect

What;s the point Walkinshaw Performance is essentially nothing more than a speed-shop

I doubt you will be able to see anything really interesting like you do on the HSV or Holden Factory Tour where you can see the cars engines etc actually being built from start to finish. And you won’t see inside HRT [as they'll be getting ready for the 5 day trip across the Nullabor]

It will be more like this is the $6K intercooled supercharger kit we can fit to your HSV… this is the $2k Suspension kit we can fit to your HSV….this is the $4k interior we can fit in your HSV..

Yet most HSV owners would already know what WP can do through club news-letters etc

Why does the exhaust run dummy pipes at the quads
    ends.?
