It's not that the Californias ugly or anything, but out of all hard top convertibles ever made, that must be the most obvious high-back-low-front look. The Maserati is beautiful, the California is just really really good looking. The Maserati just has that bit extra and before anybody asks, I have seen both in the metal. Anthony's right. The 599 was never really known to be beautiful, or even good looking. Awkward was a word that came up a lot at launch I recall. The Maserati GranTurismo is without a doubt better looking than the California.
